The Carnival of Haiti (called “Madi Gras”) is one of the most anticipated events in the country. During the festivities, many Haitians dress in traditional garments full of color or disguise themselves as characters from pop culture, such as the wandering Jew, the Chaloskas (depiction of the tyrannical policeman Charles Oscar Étienne), the Zel Matirins (dark angels), zombies or Loas (characters from voodoo). You’ll start your Madi Gras Tour in the heart of Little Haiti. On this 2 hour tour, there will be three stops at some of the best points of interests in the area.
