Adventures Unlimited began with two canoes on top of a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass, then expanded to 30 canoes and a 1972 GMC three-quarter ton pickup (affectionately referred to as "Old Blue"). The Blackwater River State Park was the main point of debarkation and phones were answered from the Sanborn family residence in Bagdad, Florida. In 1978, the original Tomahawk Landing was purchased on the Santa Rosa County courthouse steps. It started out as one building and over the years developed into a complete lodging and water recreation resort. By 1982, Adventures Unlimited began adding lodging to further expand its services. Currently there are three rustic camping cabins, 17 furnished cottages, the School House Inn, and in 2013 we opened our most unique cottage the Lorax Loft and converted six of the cottages to a "pet friendly" status. In the summer of 1994, the Adventures Unlimited high and low ropes Challenge Course were completed. Since then, Adventures Unlimited has helped school groups, corporations, and other groups through the challenges presented by these courses, becoming one of the premiere challenge courses in the Southeastern United States. In 2010, we proudly unveiled the Zip Adventures Canopy Tour, where adventure seekers can soar through the glorious tree tops of Northwest Florida and over Coldwater Creek on nearly a mile of zip lines 40 ft in the air spread over seven platforms. These programs and activities complement our fleet of 250 canoes, 100 kayaks, 500 tubes, and 10 stand-up paddle boards for aquatic enjoyment. Adventures Unlimited also has nearly 100 acres on its Wilderness Resort location campgrounds for groups and individuals, a catering facility, group retreat cabins (which holds up to 70 people), a playground, a nature trail, sports fields and a volleyball court. Adventures Unlimited continues to expand to meet the needs of all of our guests – families, honeymooners, churches, schools, scout troops, corporate groups, and many more! Adventures at Sea Pontoon Boat Rentals
Experience the freedom of exploring Panama City Beach’s most scenic areas while captaining your own pontoon boat from Adventures at Sea. Our fleet of modern, comfortable boats is the best way to get on the water with family and friends and enjoy a day filled with memories.
Our pontoon boats can accommodate up to 12 passengers so there’s plenty of room to stretch out and bring the whole gang, including pets.  Once you leave our docks, your options a plentiful and include:
The seven-mile long Shell Island is an uninhabited wilderness like your own tropical paradise. You’ll encounter unique wildlife, pristine sands, unimaginably clear waters and of course, plenty of shells to bring back as souvenirs. It’s only accessible by boat and a pontoon is the boat of choice for seeing it.
Bring your snorkel gear and hop in the water whenever you want. If you do not have any available we have snorkel gear, water proof cameras and much more available on site for sale.
Our resident population of wild dolphins are always friendly and always curious. Don’t be surprised to see them follow your boat. They love to play.
You’ll find a wide variety of game fish in St. Andrews Bay and the surrounding waters while you’re out. Drop a line. You never know what you’re going to catch.
Exploring the area by pontoon opens the door to endless opportunities to find your own private nook and break out the picnic basket. Load up the coolers. You’ll have no trouble finding the perfect spot. They’re everywhere.
Experiencing a day on one of pontoon boats is easy. We’ll supply all the instruction and guidance you need prior to departure including a map and key points of interest. Driving the boat is simple, and fun! All of our boats are supplied with the latest in safety equipment and regularly inspected so all you need to worry about is enjoying the day.
Book your adventure early as our pontoons are in high demand. Once you go out, you’ll see why. This will also allow for rescheduling later during your stay in case of inclement weather so you won’t miss out on the experience.
