Cork is the outer bark of the cork oak tree which then regrows making cork one of the most sustainable products in the world.  The fabric is made by taking layers of cork and sealing it to a cotton fabric using silicone which is water and stain resistant and extremely durable. Using cork as a leather is our specialty but not all cork fabric is created for rugged long term use.  This is why we only use the highest quality upholstery grade materials in our designer lines.  We proudly manufacture most of our products in house at our New Orleans Sewing Depot where we train and employ New Orleans locals to learn the art of industrial sewn manufacturing, and of course, the LOVE of cork.
